After listening to your concerns as your state representative during the past decade and as a local firefighter for 20 years, I understand what's important:  A strong, local economy, good paying jobs with benefits, a world class education for our kids and an efficient, effective, and responsive government.

I know what it's like to raise a family in these tough economic times.  Government shouldn't make it even harder.  Empty platitudes of smaller government and lower taxes sound good but they don't create jobs, educate our kids, help a family that's losing their home or produce a paycheck for a laid-off worker.  Leadership isn't about taking a poll to find out which way the wind is blowing before you stick your neck out - it's about knowing what's important and working to get it done.
